African Queer Youth
OUR PRIDE is mobilizing to support the LGBTQIA+ community across Africa as new legislation, discrimination and violence rises, not only in Uganda, but in countries across the continent. We're joining together with African Queer Youth Initiative, Equal Namibia and other organizations in developing new programs, including our new African Collaborative Video Network sponsored by WeVideo. Join us in our Tribute to Artivist Edwin Chiloba.

OUR PRIDE AFRICA Video NetworkOUR PRIDE is developing an Africa-focused collaborative video network to support organizations in Africa. At the heart of our efforts is African Queer Youth Initiative (AQYI) with the goal of empowering them in their mission:
Youth activists and organizations mobilizing, supporting and amplifying the voice of LGBTIQ activists, building visibility and strategic networks in support of LGBTIQ youth in Africa. |
Guided by Omar van Reenen, founder of Equal Namibia and program director of AQYI, and OUR PRIDE Advisor Kat Kai Kol-Kes in Botswana, the network connects all of these locations in 22 African countries with online video production collaboration, sponsored by WeVideo.
