About
Rainbow Advocacy
Advancing dignity, visibility, and opportunity through arts, media, publishing, advocacy, and community engagement since 1996.

Rainbow Advocacy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing dignity, visibility, and opportunity through arts, culture, education, and community engagement.
Founded in 1996, the organization emerged during a time when the LGBTQIA+ community faced profound challenges, including the ongoing impact of the AIDS epidemic. What began as a commitment to serving LGBTQIA+ youth has grown into a broader mission of supporting individuals and communities through advocacy, storytelling, creative expression, and collaboration.
Inspired by the legacy of Rev. Troy D. Perry and the generations of activists who helped shape the modern Pride movement, Rainbow Advocacy continues to build programs that connect people, amplify voices, and strengthen communities.

Today, Rainbow Advocacy serves as the home of several initiatives, including:
-
OUR PRIDE
-
Rainbow Advocacy Press
-
Voices of Solidarity
-
The Troy Perry Legacy Grants + Awards
-
Community partnership
-
Educational programs
Through these efforts, we support artists, writers, advocates, educators, and organizations working to create a more just and compassionate world.

Our Vision
We envision a world where every person can live openly, safely, and authentically, and where the stories, contributions, and experiences of LGBTQIA+ people are recognized, preserved, and celebrated.

Our Mission
To inspire, enhance lives, and empower people through arts, culture, education, advocacy, and community engagement.
