Aggie Dennett Harmon is a trans pastor, writer, poet, and human rights defender from Uganda. She is the cofounder of Talented Youth Community Fellowship Uganda (TAYCOF), an inclusive faith-based organization led by trans women that supports LGBTQI+ communities through advocacy, spiritual care, and community empowerment. Aggie is also the founder of the Nange Movement and the Nange Healing and Harm Reduction Center, initiatives that support trans survivors of sexual violence and trans people who use drugs through healing spaces, peer support, and harm reduction education. 


She is the author of Faith That Liberates: A Queer Christian’s Companion for the Journey. Through her work, Aggie brings together faith, storytelling, and community organizing to advance dignity, healing, and justice for trans and gender diverse communities in Uganda and beyond.

Aggie explores how the rainbow carries different meanings in different places. In Uganda, a symbol of hope can also become a target, making its message of dignity and belonging all the more powerful.
