Programs
Rainbow Advocacy advances dignity, creative expression, and human rights through a focused set of interconnected programs. Each program supports artists, storytellers, educators, and community partners working within the global LGBTQ+ Pride movement and related human-rights efforts.
Rather than operating isolated projects, our programs function as an ecosystem — linking culture, memory, and action across generations and geographies.
Flag50

Flag50 is a global arts and education initiative marking the 50th anniversary of the rainbow flag and its role in the ongoing struggle for dignity and liberation.
The initiative brings together artists, educators, cultural institutions, and Pride partners to explore the flag not as a commercial symbol, but as a living cultural artifact shaped by history, resistance, and collective meaning.
Flag50 connects local and global work through storytelling, creative expression, and human rights education leading into 2028 and beyond.

Rainbow Advocacy Press
Rainbow Advocacy Press is our publishing and storytelling platform dedicated to elevating voices that advance human rights, preserve cultural memory, and support real-world impact.
Through books and related projects, the Press supports writers and artists whose work contributes to dignity, justice, and global solidarity. Publishing is both a creative and practical tool—amplifying stories while helping fund community-based work.

The Press operates in alignment with our broader mission and values, emphasizing care, collaboration, and long-term responsibility.
OUR PRIDE

OUR PRIDE in engages Pride as a global, interconnected movement rather than a single annual event.
This work includes arts, advocacy, youth media, and cultural collaborations developed in partnership with Pride organizations, artists, and communities around the world.
OUR PRIDE creates space for reflection alongside celebration, centering inclusion, youth voices, and cross-border exchange.
OurPride.org serves as a shared home for this work —reinforcing Pride as collective action grounded in history and human rights.

Troy Perry Legacy Grants

The Troy Perry Legacy Awards honor visionary LGBTQIA+ young people, community leaders, and Pride organizations who are taking a stand against fear and declaring, “We’re not afraid anymore.”
Launched in 2016, the program is created in honor of Rev. Troy D. Perry — founder of Metropolitan Community Churches and a central figure in the modern Pride movement. The awards recognize fearless leadership rooted in social and spiritual activism, courage, and service.
Through recognition and direct support, the program helps sustain leadership that advances dignity, inclusion, and human rights across communities.

How These Programs Work Together
Our programs are intentionally interconnected.
Creative work developed through OUR PRIDE may inform publishing through Rainbow Advocacy Press. Flag50 provides a global framework for education and reflection. WorldPride programs connect local work to international platforms. Legacy awards and grants support leadership grounded in lived experience.
Together, these programs prioritize depth over scale, collaboration over extraction, and long-term impact over short-term visibility.
