Musical Comedy "Melomaniacs" Q&A with Writer / Director Jackson Brink & Cast hosted by Kenney Fitzpatrick, The Q LGBTQ Creative Network "Melomaniacs" is a toe-tapping eighties jukebox musical comedy short film in which Eileen — a teenage melomaniac with a heart full of tunes —s pends one last unforgettable summer with her best friends Roxie, Phoebe, and Kim. Writer / Director Jackson Brink is an advocate for authentic storytelling and an aspiring voice in the world of filmmaking, with a dedication to crafting narratives that inspire, challenge, and celebrate the human experience. In 2023, Jackson graduated from Lee's Summit West High School, in Missouri. He then attended Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Film and Television. He is currently a sophomore there and is working towards becoming a screenwriter and/or director, among other film interests.

[USA] In this toe-tapping eighties jukebox musical comedy, Eileen—a teenage melomaniac with a heart full of tunes—spends one last unforgettable summer with her best friends Roxie, Phoebe, and Kim. Together, they chase their dreams, navigate high school crushes (especially Eileen’s for the school heartthrob, Tony), and discover the true power of friendship, self-love, and music that binds them all.

[USA] The Little Piratemaid is an animated short about what it takes to discover yourself as a trans person in a cis-normative world—even if that world is one of pirates and mermaids! This short film focuses on the initial stages of transition, the moments of realization, and the courage it takes for a little pirate girl to simply be herself.

[USA] When a new mirror is brought into a family’s home, it opens a window into their lives as hard decisions teach them about love, life and identity over generations.

[USA] A timid college student, Danny comes face to face with overcoming childhood trauma once his sister comes to town for the holidays.

[USA] A regency-era ball is being held, but the host, Edwin, is nowhere to be found. Sequestered in his private study downstairs, he dances with his partner, Pascal, and they bask in each other's company.

[USA] When a delusional Pisces' relationship ends, his best friends attempt to uplift his spirits by inviting him to the party of the night where a mysterious person alters his perspective on romance.
